My Weekend! Your's?

The National are playing the Seaport free tonight. I'm a hug fan of their new album, Boxer. I'm expecting a subtle but very enjoyable show from the local favourites. I'm also expecting to get at least two big bears from the sea food place in the mall food court.

Superbad, if I don't get to see this movie by tomorrow evening, I'm going to pretend I did anyway. I'm so effing excited about the impending Michael Cera super stardom.

The Cool Kids are sandwiched between The Rub DJ's and YACHT at this week's last (ever?) free McCarren Pool show. They will be playing as part of The Baltimore Bass Connection performance(which also includes the awesome Kid Sister). I'll be there, soaking up the sun and bands.

Dear Rickshaw

Big fan, let's get that out of the way. Very fond of all of the varieties of dumplings I've tried. Today I gave the Szechuan Chicken a whirl, yum. Problem is, I wanted to try them both fried and boiled. This doesn't seem outlandish does it? When I asked to get half and half I was told it couldn't be done.

I am sympathetic to those in the service industry so I didn't make a stink as I understand the counter person has no control. However, I must write you this open letter (hopefully someone in your offices Googles the company regularly). Please make a variety option.

Think about the range of flavor combinations. Open up your heart and expand your menu, with little work what so ever.

Please,
Tim Duffy

Justice, People Don't Blog About Them Enough

So I've decided that I am very eager to see the much ballyhooed Justice on October 20th. They've put out the best straight dance album of the year (Dan Deacon falling somewhere between quirk-pop, noise rock and dance is out of the running) and post Daft Punk I'm really terribly excited to have a more directly engaging French electronic experience.

The other thing is of course the defining buzz. How can one possibly not want to be at this show?!

Tickets go on sale today. The show is at the brand new Terminal 5. They cost $25. It starts pretty early for a Saturday night dance show(7pm).

P.S: This show is sadly a Ticketmaster event. Echk.
