Yawn, Oscar Wrap Up

Maybe I'm crazy, but did Sacha Baron Cohen obviously say the words "But they don't though," In response to an introduction to a montage celebrating all of the past Best Foreign Language Film. The line that prompted this was "After the first Foreign Language Film Oscar was given movie houses cross America began playing foreign films," or something like that. As usual I see Sacha Baron Cohen's point.

As far as the rest of the Oscars went I found Clint Eastwood's triute to Ennio Moricone bizzarely ham fisted, he stammered and mangled his words in a very disconcerting way. Jack Black, Will Ferrell and John C. Riley did a funny little song sketch. Eleln was ok for the most part, I certainly liked the trifecta of one time hosts David Lettrman, Chris Rock, and Jon Stewart alot better though. Glad to see a comedic performace win Best Supporting Actor rather than a dramatic performance from a formerly comedic actor. Do they double the amount of montages every year? Mostly The Ocars make me thankful for DVR, I was thrilled to not have to sit through any of the best song nominees. Also, before I stop caring and time proves me right I once more must lament the snubs of the best two moves of last year: Borat: Cultural Learnings For To Make Benefit of Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan and Children of Men.
