Suicide! Live! Friday!
After the weekend of music I've induldged in (Siren Festival, Oxford Collapse at McCarren, Jay Reatard and Ponys at Asbury Lanes) it seems summer in NYC couldn't possibly offer much more. Things of course are not as they seem and this weekend marks what is expected to be the biggest McCarren Pool Party of the year with TV on the Radio. Of course that has already been widely discussed. Less widely discussed is the Friday's Seaport show featuring a performance by the Deathset and the once way ahead of their time and shockingly still performing Suicide.
I am quite fond of Suicide's self titled debut and am intregued (though not entirely confident) to see how they've aged. Below is some vintage performance footage.
