Today's "Best Song Ever"

Scout Niblet "I'll Be A Prince (Shhh)"

I know nothing of Scout Niblett. I don't know if Scout Niblett is a band name or a person. I don't know if the wonderfully emotive vocals are wholly indebted to the influence of Chan Marshall or if it's a case of artistic serendipity that these artists sound similar. I don't know if this band/artist is from some foreign country adding some hip cachet to the band's presence on blogs. I don't know if I read about this band on Pitchfork or Brooklyn Vegan. All I know is that inebriated I downloaded about half an album from them/her and this song jumped out at me. My lack of knowledge could be easily solved with a Google search for sure. (I'm sure I'll do this in the near future.) But there is a charm to listening to this song with no preconcieved ideas. No thoughts on what it's supposed to sound like or what the band wears. I can't really remember the last time I was able to do that.
