Dilema: Times New Viking/Deerhunter Tour

Times New Viking and Deerhunter are going on tour in support of two of the top 5 best albums of the year so far.(Not to mention the new 5 song EP from TNV that is probably my most anticipated record of the fall. Well almost.)

So everything is great let's buy tickets, Right?! Not so fast. These bands are playing two New York Dates and they're on the weekend... in November! I don't know what kind of raging parties might be going on that weekend. These dates surely should have been announced with less lead time. What's worse is one of the dates has an awesome opener(Vivian Girls) but the other is at a preferable venue, both commuting wise and asthetically.

Convenience vs. one more excellent band. These are the kind of problems I love to have.

The Dates In Question:
Fri-Nov-07 Brooklyn, NY Music Hall of Williamsburg
Sat-Nov-08 New York, NY Bowery Ballroom

I'm So Excited!

Top three best things about the fall (in no particular order):

-New episodes of 30 Rock

-New episodes of Dexter

-New episodes of The Office. Which by the way has the best promo on the interweb.

The Darjeeling Limited: And more Movies to look forward to.

Besides this week's The Simpsons Movie and next month's Superbad I was afraid that I didn't care about any upcoming movies. Then I saw the trailer for the new Wes Anderson movie and the world alligned itself again.

Then I started looking through release dates and found a monsterous list of movies I'm curious about:

Really Excited: The Ten, Be Kind Rewind, No Country For Old Men, Bee Movie,

Curious but not sold: I Am Legend, There Will Be No Blood, Sweeney Todd, Into the Wild(a drama directed by Sean Penn featuring a performance by Zach Galifianakis?!), My Blueberry Nights and Balls of Fury.

I guess it's not so monsterous, but sizeable.

Plus this Fall prepare yourself for the directorial debut of BEN AFFLECK!!!! Oh, god...
